In an easygoing New Jersey coastal town and following their grandfather’s death, seven black teenage girls are gifted with his cherished greenhouse, home to a very valuable collection
of flora and fauna.
This large glass building is no ordinary gift. The greenhouse comes with a condition. In order to receive their inheritance, each girl must spend one night a week in the greenhouse, from dusk until dawn, just as the late Colonel Pearson had done for the last ten years.
Facing school priorities, relationship troubles and an absentee mother, Breya, Keris, Nykee, Bryonia, Zo and the twins must decide between their own destinies and those set out for them, as growing pains and unusual conflict of interests challenge each girl in their promises to their grandfather…
